How to change vCenter appliance hostname

Once you deploy VMware vCenter appliance from OVF file and configure the database, SSO, NTP and authentication, the vCenter server will then be presented as localhost.localdomain. To change this value to what ever you need your vCenter server hostname to be, do the following:

1. Login into your vCenter appliance web interface (https://your.vcenter-applianceIP:5480) using user root and default password vmware (unless you have change it intentionally from the console!!)
